From Jane Austen to Emma Wildes...Why the Regency Will Never Die
The Regency is dead! Historical romance is dead! Publishers and editors have been making such bold statements for decades. And yet, authors keep writing them, readers keep buying them, and on we go. Do I think historical romance is dead? Not at all. Do I think it'll ever die? Nope.
The Regency has changed over the years, sure. But what doesn't change, evolve, grow? With the emergence of erotic romance as a popular genre, the Regency is making a comeback, and I think the reason why people are reading again is the same reason why I, for one, am writing it. Beneath the suave veneer of the Ton is a wonderfully scandalous world of seduction, desire, and intrigue. I enjoy exploring that world, and seeing the prim and proper debutante act a little less "proper" when she gets caught in the dark, the handsome gentleman be a bit less "gentlemanly" when he takes off his cravat. It's a great dynamic to play with!

Butterfly Effect: Choices to Outcomes
Hello I am Veronica Towers and I write Regency romance. I love the times and the genre. Waterloo was a turning point in history, who knows if Napoleon had won we might have gotten the Euro a little sooner LOL just kidding! There are certain time points in history when you think about it where the world as we know it, would change. Trafalgar was another, since the Royal Navy trashed the French Fleet Napoleon had no other recourse, than land battles.
I write Regency but can see whole other outcomes from one change, the butterfly effect. So this is the reason I love to read and write in this time.

Coming in October: A Scandalous Arrangement
A well-bred lady and a rakish earl escape the ton and shed their inhibitions in A Scandalous Arrangement...
Sold into the service of a brothel madame to satisfy her brother's gambling debts, Lady Anna Boscawen finds herself catapulted into the scandalous, seedy underbelly of the ton when she is given a new name and her virginity is auctioned off to the highest bidder. Vere Fane, Earl of Westmorland is rich, powerful, and devilishly handsome, known throughout society for his carnal inclination and the pleasure and pain he inflicts upon the women he alternately ravages and worships. Bound together by unusual circumstances, Vere leads Anna through a whirlwind of emotions, teaching her to find the ultimate freedom - in submission.
